About Us
Book, Line & Thinker, registered as BLT Store is owned and managed by the Shipton family since 2023. As parents we understand the struggle of keeping up with kids day-to-day schooling needs, especially in a small town and so we wanted to provide a one-stop-shop service for parents, teachers and students in Hopefield and surrounding West Coast region.
We launched “Sprinkle” as a Shop-in-Shop concept in 2024 offering decadent Ice-Creams, Milkshakes, Bubble Teas and more as a complimentary offering to our customers.
Boekie Hoekie is managed purely as a labour of love as we have avid readers in the family, we wanted to our love for books with our customers…
Hopefield is a historic town located in the West Coast of the Western Cape, South Africa. Established in 1852, it was named after Major William Hope and Mr. Field, who played significant roles in its founding. The town emerged around a Dutch Reformed congregation, with the iconic church built in 1879 serving as a central landmark.
Today, Hopefield is known for its stunning natural environment, characterized by the unique fynbos vegetation endemic to the Cape Floral Region. The town hosts an annual Fynbos Show each August, celebrating the vibrant spring blooms that attract nature enthusiasts.
The community is supported by HSH the most popular school in the district. Overall, Hopefield combines rich history with ecological diversity, making it a charming destination on the West Coast.
